From payment to first use.
Straight away
Your order is confirmed
Your confirmation records the vehicle, step width, fitting options and any additions you ordered.
Keep your confirmation email. It includes the order reference you will need if you contact us.
After ordering
We confirm the fit for your vehicle
A specialist reviews the configuration you ordered against the records for your make, model and year. Nothing about the vehicle needs to be drilled, cut or permanently altered for the system to fit.
Nothing to do. We contact you if anything needs confirming.
Before manufacture
The frame is specified for your car
We set the boot opening, sill, lashing points and any equipment already fitted against the vehicle details and configuration you supplied. This fixes the frame and the stowed angle for your vehicle. If we need anything further, we contact you before manufacture.
We confirm your build and delivery dates once the fit has been reviewed.

Built for your vehicle
Manufacture starts only once the fit is confirmed. The system is produced and configured at Dog&Drive GmbH in Odenthal, Germany, with the frame set and etched for your vehicle.

Checked as one system
The completed system is checked against your order: the configured frame, the correct width, the recorded handle side, the folding and latching action, and the tensioning straps and fitting instructions packed with it.

Shipped to your UK address
UK delivery is £100 including VAT per product, itemised separately in the basket and at checkout. Dog&Drive Ltd is the importer of record, so import and customs-clearance costs are already included. Nothing further is payable to the courier, although they may contact you to arrange the delivery.
Watch for the carrier's message so someone is there for a large parcel.
On arrival
Ready to fit
The frame arrives configured for your vehicle. Follow the fitting instructions to position it and tension the straps to the lashing points. Check that the steps open and latch correctly before introducing your dog.
Check the packaging on arrival and tell us promptly about any transit damage or missing part.
VAT and delivery.
Your checkout total includes VAT at 20%, separately itemised UK delivery and all import and customs-clearance costs. Nothing further is payable to the courier.
Dog&Drive Ltd is registered for UK VAT. Product prices are shown in whole pounds, including UK VAT at 20%. UK delivery is kept separate from the product price and appears once your configuration is complete, itemised at £100 including VAT per product in the basket and at checkout.
Dog&Drive Ltd is the importer of record for systems manufactured by Dog&Drive GmbH in Odenthal, Germany, so customs clearance is settled by us as part of the import and is not charged to you separately. A courier may still contact you to arrange the delivery itself.
A VAT invoice is available for every purchase and carries Dog&Drive Ltd’s VAT registration number, GB 526 7958 44.

If we need to check something with you
Nothing is manufactured until the fit is confirmed. If a detail of your vehicle needs confirming, we contact you and wait for your answer rather than guessing.
If the fit needs attention
If a system we confirmed does not fit the vehicle we confirmed it for, the fit promise covers it: we adjust, correct or replace it, and refund you if we cannot resolve it.
If you need to change something
Contact us promptly with your order reference and the change you need. We will check whether it is possible and confirm any effect on the price or delivery date.
Lead times for other systems.
Made-to-measure Dog Cushions and bespoke systems are specified individually, so their dates are confirmed with you once the specification is agreed rather than quoted in advance. Pull-Out and Full Systems begin with an enquiry for the same reason.
