Warranty
Last updated: 30 September 2026
1. Your legal rights come first
If you're buying as a consumer, everything we sell has to be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If it isn't, you have legal rights that this warranty doesn't change:
- Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject a faulty item and get a full refund.
- You can ask us to repair or replace a faulty item. If that doesn't fix things, or we can't do it within a reasonable time, you can have a refund or a price reduction.
- If a fault shows up within six months of delivery, the law assumes it was there from the start unless we can show otherwise. After six months, you may need to show the fault was there when it arrived.
- You can bring a claim for up to six years from delivery in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Scotland it's generally five years from when you found out about the fault.
- If we fit your product, or arrange a fitter, the fitting must be done properly and with reasonable care and skill.
This warranty is free and is given in addition to those rights. It doesn't affect them.
2. Our 12 month warranty
For 12 months from the day your order is delivered, we promise your product will be free from faults in materials and workmanship, as long as it has been fitted, used and looked after in line with our instructions.
This warranty is given by Dog&Drive Ltd (company number 17230608), registered office 16 Isbourne Way, Cheltenham, GL54 5NS. Email: support@doganddrive.store.
It covers products bought new directly from Dog&Drive Ltd, including through doganddrive.store, and delivered to a UK address. It applies only to the person who bought the product from us. Please keep your order confirmation email as proof of purchase.
3. Getting the right fit
We recommend products based on what you tell us about your vehicle (make, model, year and any boot fittings) and your dog (size and weight). Please check these details carefully. If a product doesn't fit or suit your vehicle or dog because the details you gave us were wrong or incomplete, that isn't a fault in the product and isn't covered by this warranty. This doesn't affect our responsibility if we recommended the wrong product based on accurate details.
4. Fitting
If we fit your product, or a fitter we arrange does, we're responsible for that fitting being done properly.
If you, your garage or anyone else fits it, please follow our fitting instructions carefully. We're not responsible for problems caused by fitting we didn't do, unless the problem was actually caused by a fault in the product, a missing part, or a mistake in our instructions or advice.
5. What the warranty doesn't cover
- Normal wear and tear, such as marks, fading and flattening of cushions and fabrics that happen through normal use.
- Damage caused by your dog, such as chewing, scratching or claw marks.
- Accidental damage, misuse, or using the product for something it isn't designed for.
- Damage from loading the product beyond the maximum weight shown on the product page or in the instructions.
- Faults caused by changes to the product, repairs by someone other than us, or parts not supplied by Dog&Drive.
- Faults caused by fitting we didn't do, as explained in section 4.
- Corrosion or damage caused by not following our care instructions.
- Products mainly used for a business, such as kennels, dog walking, training or hire, unless we've agreed this with you in writing.
- Products that weren't bought new directly from Dog&Drive Ltd.
- A specific issue we told you about before you bought, for example marks on a discounted ex-demo item.
None of this affects your legal rights in section 1.
If something arrives damaged, that isn't a warranty matter. Let us know as soon as you can and we'll sort it out under your legal rights.
6. If you spot a problem
If a fault could make the product unsafe for you or your dog, please stop using it and contact us straight away.
If you carry on using a product after you know it's faulty or unsafe, or after we've asked you to stop, this warranty won't cover any extra damage caused by that continued use. Your legal rights aren't affected.
7. How to claim
Email support@doganddrive.store within the 12 months with your order number, a short description of the problem, and photos or a short video. If the problem is about fit, please include your vehicle details.
We may ask you to send the product back or arrange for it to be inspected. If the problem is covered, we pay the postage both ways.
We never charge for a claim in the first six months after delivery. After that, if we inspect the product and find there's no fault, or the problem is one listed in section 5, we'll explain why in writing. We may then ask you to pay the actual cost of returning it to you, but we'll tell you the amount and get your agreement first.
8. What we'll do
If your claim is covered, we'll repair or replace the product free of charge. If it's no longer made, we'll replace it with one of the same or better specification. If we can't repair or replace it, we'll refund what you paid for that product. Any parts or products we replace become ours.
After a repair or replacement, the warranty continues for whatever is left of the original 12 months.
9. Our responsibility for loss or damage
If we break these terms, or don't use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you ordered. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
We're not responsible for damage to your vehicle or other belongings caused by fitting we didn't do, by using the product against our instructions, or by going over its weight limit, unless the damage was actually caused by a fault in the product or a mistake in our instructions or advice.
Our products are sold for private use. If you use them for a business, we aren't responsible to you for lost profits, lost business, business interruption or lost business opportunities.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or that of our staff, agents or subcontractors
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- your legal rights in relation to the products
- fitting we carry out or arrange being done with reasonable care and skill
- defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987
10. Business customers
This section only applies if you're buying for a business. If you're buying mainly for yourself or your family, you're a consumer and this section doesn't apply.
If you buy as a business, sections 1 and 9 don't apply, and instead:
- Please inspect the products when they arrive and tell us in writing within 5 working days about any damage or shortage that is reasonably apparent on inspection. Hidden faults are covered by the 12 month warranty.
- The 12 month warranty is your main remedy for faults. Other terms implied by statute or common law about quality, fitness for purpose or description are excluded, as far as the law allows. This doesn't affect our promise that we have the right to sell the products to you.
- We're not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint, email support@doganddrive.store. If we can't resolve it, we'll tell you in writing whether we're willing to use an independent dispute resolution service.
12. General
The warranty that applies to your order is the version on our website when you placed it. We'll send you a copy in writing whenever you ask.
We use the details you give us to handle your claim, as explained in our privacy notice.
This warranty is governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep any protections your local law gives you.
If any part of this warranty is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
